Well, Go ahead and call Mommy and Daddy impatient and slightly anal. We couldn't wait for another weigh in at the doctor's office. We got out our digital scale that I use for weighing sausage seasonings. It reads down to the 1/10th of an ounce. I think thats accurate enough. Thanks to a handy 9 x 13 backing pan we found out he now weighs. Exactly 7lbs. 0.1 oz. Thats 6 oz since Monday so thats great. Not bad for exactly 2 weeks old.

Weight Check
We went to the Doctor's again today for a weight check. Lucas weighed in at 6 lbs. 10 oz. So he is just one oz from his birth weight. The goal is to reach birth weight by 2 weeks old. So we just need to gain an ounce before Wednesday. Amazingly enough Mommy and Daddy can see a difference in Lucas's face with the weight gain. His face is much fuller, and our clothese are fitting better :)

1 Week Check up
Today Lucas had is one week check-up at the doctor's. He is still 19.5 inches long (which means he didn't shrink when is cone head went down :) ) He weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz. The doctor would like to see him gaining weight now, so she sent us to the lactation consultant for some help. We got a lot on good pointers and I think we will be gaining weight soon. They said that babies born early, even at 37 weeks can be lazy nursers because they sleep more then babies born at full term. We go for another weight check on Monday. All in all the doctor said he looked great :)

Thanks to all those friends and family that stopped by over the weekend to see Lucas. We had a very good time showing him off. He and mom are both doing really good. He's eating really good now and sleeps alot. Lucky for us he's pretty content and doesn't fuss much. (Quick someone find me some wood to knock on!) Our first doctors visit was today and everything is going good. Mommy and Daddy decided to take advantage of one of these long afternoon naps and take him out for our first family meal today on our way home.

Here's a link to the St. Mary's Hospital pictures. A big thank you to all those people at St. Mary's. The nursing staff and nursery were both wonderful.
