Good Bye, Aunt Dena

Well, we were busy today. This morning the boys had a doctor appointment and got their shots. Neither of them liked that too much but they both did ok. Adam is doing well. He is now 12 pounds 12 oz which about the 50% and he is 23.25 inches tall which is the 75% so he is tall. The rest of Adam's checkup went well. He is smiling and cooing now when you get in his face. He is bearing weight on his legs and has great head control. Here's a decent pic of his adorable smile.

Lucas weighs 22 pounds 12 ounces which is the 25% so he has thinned down, but he is 32.5 in tall which is the 75% so he may be more like his dad that we thought. He is doing well too. His vocabulary is expanding quickly. He now names the ingredients as Andy puts them into the food they are cooking. "Oil, salt, pepper, pasta, tomatoes". He is also getting more of an attitude and showing his independence, but he's a happy little guy.

This evening we celebrated Aunt Dena's birthday and told her good bye and good luck on her trip to South Africa. We will miss her.

Adam's Baptism

Adam was baptized at St. Wendel Church this past weekend. He did very well and didn't even cry when the water was poured on his head. However his older brother wasn't quite a cooperative during Mass :) We had a nice lunch at our house afterwards. Adam's godparents are Aunt Dena, Uncle Nathan and Noah. He is very blessed to have these three special people in his life. I've added a slide show of all the pictures from the day.

Lucas & Mommy Day

Today was Mommy & Lucas day. Adam went to Grandma Eileen's and Lucas and I spent the whole day doing fun things together.

First we headed to the bridal shop to get Lucas fitted for a tux. He flirted with the sales girls and looked adorable in the one we tried on for sizing :)

Then we went to the zoo and Lucas fed the giraffe right out of his hand. He chuckled at each animal we saw and Mommy got a good workout pushing him up the hills.

After we both took an afternoon nap then we went outside at home and took a walk in the wagon. This is Lucas's favorite thing to do outside.

Then he played with sidewalk chalk and wrote on the side of the house, the columns on the porch and our bench. As you can see he got a little on himself as well. We played out side for nearly 2 hours. I had a wonderful time with Lucas and it's days like today that make me sad I have to go back to work next week and I can't stay home with him more. But we made the most out of our special day together.

Happy Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day today. We started the day with delicious chocolate chip muffins for breakfast. Then we had brunch at the Bayou Grill in New Harmony. The boys were very well behaved and Lucas and I got to eat Belgium Waffles which we both love. I got another hand for my necklace so now it has 3 (one for Mommy, Lucas, and Adam). It is beautiful!! After lunch we took a walk and found a perfect spot for pictures by the lake.

We then headed to Granny's and Lucas gave her a card and flower. We visited for a little while and headed home for family nap time. We went for a short walk this evening to complete our wonderful day. I feel so blessed to have the privilege to be a mom and to have these 2 amazing boys.

We also said good-bye and good luck to Aunt Carrie because she left today for Atlanta for her summer OT program. Lucas learned to say "Aunt Carrie" just in time to see her off.

Our weekend was very busy because Saturday night we went to a couples shower for Nathan and Amber. I got a great picture of Adam and Uncle Nathan that I just had to share with everyone. We all had a great time at the shower too!

6 weeks old

Adam is now 6 weeks old. My how time flies. He is doing really well. He is very strong, holding his head up, kicking and squirming and trying to jump off my lap from time to time. He is sleeping longer at night and is eating more and farther apart. He is a great baby.

Lucas is still loving his brother. When Adam is awake he sometimes plays in the tent with Lucas and Lucas loves it and gets so excited.
