Adam's First School Party
Today Adam got to attend his first school party. I was able to attend as well and take lots of pictures. He got to play pin the wart on the witch and Halloween bingo. He also made a very cute ghost in a cup craft. The class finished the party with snacks and received a bag full of goodies.

Lucas's First Field Trip
Today Lucas got to go on his first field trip to Goebel's Farm. He got to ride on a wagon to the pumpkin patch, learn about how pumpkins grow, play in the hay loft, slide on the barn slide and walk through a corn maze. He had a terrific time!

Camping at the Farm
Andy's family has about 200 acres of recreational ground in Perry County. They call it "The Farm". Andy has been going there with his friends since early grade school to hunt, shoot, ride ATVs, fish, and just mess around in general. This past weekend we camped there with the second generation of farm lovers.
I was a little skeptical going into this camping trip, because there is no playground, pavement, running hot water, etc. I wasn't sure we could keep the boys entertained for the weekend. Man was I wrong! We all had a blast and didn't even do everything we intended to do. There were 9-10 kids there between the ages of 6 years and 18 months and about the same number of adults. We rode ATVs, visited a cave, fished, went on a scavenger hunt and just took in the breathtaking beauty of fall. The kids enjoyed outdoor movies and campfire story time. Andy made delicious food for all of us and we just had a great time!
It was pretty cool to know that Andy and I are both still friends with the people we met in grade school and not just acquaintances still but they are our closest friends. It was awesome to see these guys sharing one of their favorite places with their kids and to see our kids forging true relationships with each other just as we did years ago. What a blessing long lasting true friendship is!

Pumpkin Patch
We headed to the pumpkin patch on this beautiful cool fall day and had a blast! The boys wore themselves out on the pipe race, straw maze, straw castle, horse races, corn maze, huge slide, gourd sling shot. diamond dig, and wagon ride to the pumpkin patch. They both paused during all the fun once to tell us that they loved us, which is always a sign that they are having a great time!
