Special Occasions with Special Women

We have been blessed with some special occasions to celebrate with some special family members. Last week Great Granny turned 75 and we celebrated with a dinner with our family. Granny wanted a 4 generation picture and we got a good one.

Last week, we also got a special visit from Paps' family now living in Indianapolis.  The boys got to visit with Great Aunt Lathurna, Don, Maurie, Kyle, Jen and Greg.  We had dinner and breakfast the next morning. It was so nice to get to visit with them all. Here is a photo of the boys with Great Aunt Lathurna.

Finally this weekend we are celebrating Grandma Kay's birthday.  The boys made her a beautiful piece of artwork, with their hands and feet.  They also surprised her by decorating her house before a surprise birthday dance party.  They sure do love their Grandma.

NASCAR RACE

In Victory Lane with the Quaker State 400 Car

For Christmas Andy got me tickets to the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Kentucky Speedway and the race was this past weekend.  We had a great time with Sean, Amy, Scott and Kara Fisher.  It was really hot so we spent some time just sitting in the shade people watching.  We had Fan Zone passes so we were able to get to the pits, in Victory Lane, on the track, and into part of the infield.  It was a great race, because Junior passed a lot of cars and finished 3rd.  We had great seats and could see every part of the track.  I even got to walk barefoot on the start finish line.  The whole day was just perfect!
