Adam is 18 months old

Adam turned 18 months old this past weekend. He has really grown up in the last month. He is now climbing out of his crib occasionally, so we are in the process of getting a big boy bed for his room. Climbing and chase are Adam's two favorite activities. He climbs on everything and no matter how many times you tell him no and pull him down, he is right back up in seconds. He places chase all the time. He takes things from Lucas to get him to chase. He runs off during diaper changes. We do a lot of chasing his bare butt around the house. He will also put things in his mouth that he knows are no-no's and then looks to make sure you saw him and runs. When you catch him he just giggles and takes off again :)

He just put rocks in his mouth and he is looking at me before taking off

He is starting to to talk a little bit more. Many times we cannot understand him, but you can tell by is facial expressions and inflection that he is saying something. So the drive is there, we just have to work on pronunciation.

Adam is now going both up and down our two flights of stairs unassisted. He continues to be a good eater and will try almost anything offered. He sleeps all night long the majority of the time, he just has 1-2 mornings a week that he is an early riser (up at 5:30). Adam is always on the go and seconds behind his big brother. He has also started really watching TV more and more, which is nice when we all just need a little calm.

Adam goes to bed with a smile and wakes up smiling as well. He is a laid back, happy little guy.

September Birthdays!

We celebrated lots of birthdays this weekend. On Friday we celebrated with Paps and of course the boys helped blow out the candles. On Saturday, we went to the Backyard Burn at the Hill's to help celebrate Justin's birthday. We had a great time visiting with friends.

On Sunday, we celebrated at Papaw Jim and Grammy's house. We played on the playground before supper and afterwards until it was dark. Lucas helped Papaw Jim open his presents and the boys helped Aunt Amber blow out her candles. What a wonderful weekend to celebrate so many special people in our lives.

Camping Labor Day Weekend 2010

We had fantastic weather for camping at Harmonie State Park this weekend. We camped with the Will's (Zach, Sarah, Landon, Brock and Cassie). The boys had a great time playing on the playground and digging in the dirt. Drawing with sidewalk chalk was also a popular activity this weekend. Andy helped the boys draw our house and Lucas made him add the barn, rhino, garage, driveway, and playground :)

Adam added a few words to his regular vocabulary and did a lot of yelling at dogs, bikers, and Lucas. Lucas learned to pedal his trike this weekend and we let him ride his bike and 4-wheeler on the road for the first time. He rode a few yards to the nature center where both boys loved looking at the turtle, frog, and snakes.

We had some trouble getting Adam to stay asleep at night, so he was driven home at 2AM to sleep in his own bed both Friday and Saturday. Sunday night the boys slept at Grandma Kay and Paps house so that we could sit by the fire and sleep in.

We enjoyed visits from lots of great friends and family. We got to play with Aunt Carrie, Aunt Dena, the Pughs, and the Esche's. It was a great camping weekend! I have posted a new slide show with all of our pictures of the weekend. Enjoy!
