We'll miss you Grandpa!!

My Grandpa Jay passed away this weekend. He will be missed. He had a special place in his heart for his only great grandson. Lucas had gone to visit several times in the past few weeks. Great grandpa called him "his boy". Do you see the resemblence? Bald head, round face, pudgy cheeks, dimpled chin, and jolly belly.

Happy 30th Birthday Daddy!!

Andy turned 30 on Friday. Lucas helped him open his gift from him, which was wrapped so appropriately in Simpson's paper. It was a travel coffee mug with Lucas's picture on it. I think he had a nice birthday. He took the day off and got to watch a movie in his basement. Then he & I had a date night out to Red Lobster and the movies. Saturday he is making a big Italian meal for his parents so the celebration continues :)

Also We just got a new concrete pad out back for the camper to park on so while the concrete was setting. Grandma Kay and I had to take the little guy out to "make his mark on the world."

Swimming!!

Today Lucas went for his first swim at Grandpa Jim's and Grandma Eileen's. He didn't cry, but he didn't smile much either. The water was warm but the air temperature was a little chilly. He wasn't really sure what to think, but I think he is the cutest little swimmer! My boys look like their having some fun in the sun!!

5 months old

Lucas turned 5 months old this week. He is now eating one meal of solid foods a day. He really likes applesauce, peas, and avocado. He is putting everything in his mouth and drooling all over the place. He has been doing this for about a month. His favorite toys right now are his Exersaucer and his rings. However he wears the rings more than he plays with them. He also has discovered mirrors and loves to laugh at himself. He is growing up so fast :)

Father's Day

We had a very nice Father's Day Weekend. On Friday evening we had two very nice visits with Great Grandpa and Grandpa Jim. Then on Sunday we just chilled out at the house and then had supper with Grandpa Tony. Andy got to watch a full movie in one sitting and he got to sleep in until 7!! Lucas also got him a digital picture frame for his desk at work. On Saturday Lucas and Daddy both wore their Hawaiian shirts to the Baumholser's party and I couldn't pass up getting a picture.

Lucas's Great-Grandpa Embrey was in the hospital this weekend. We made him a card and Lucas wanted to sign it himself.

Congratulations Lindsey!!

Well, Lindsey graduated from Mater Dei High School and her party was on Sunday. Since there was no Carrie Ann's Stars fish fry/recital, Lindsey chose to have a fish fry graduation party. So Saturday we enjoyed an afternoon of fishing. Lucas enjoyed being outside and having Lindsey feed him with Cinnamon close by. On Sunday we enjoyed a wonderful party filled with family and friends. The food was great, the kids played in the lake, Sara played a slide show of Lindsey growing up and Lindsey got some great gifts to get her started at St. Mary's.

Rolling Over!!

Lucas rolled over from his tummy to his back several times this week. Yeah, Lucas!!!
