We picked the boys up from school on Friday and they were so excited. We drove to Indy and stayed overnight in a hotel. The next morning the boys were extremely pumped to be going to Disney World. We got checked into the airport with no problems and the boys proudly wore their backpacks like big boys! Lucas even rolled the smaller suitcase and did great!
Both boys did great on the flight and we hopped on the Disney Magical Express for a ride to our hotel, The Wilderness Lodge. The hotel was very nice and our room was great. Two queen beds and a mini fridge. The boys loved the balcony and saw a bunny hopping around. We grabbed a quick bite to eat at the quick service in the hotel.
We immediately hopped on a bus over to Magic Kingdom. Our first stop according to the boys was to say hello to Mickey in the theatre so we did just that. After that we hit Tomorrow Land and Fantasyland. On Sunday, we spent our time in Hollywood Studios and we open and closed the park with Fantasmic! Fantasmic is a show with Sorcerer Mickey and images projected on water with fireworks. On Monday, we at breakfast at Chef Mickey's and opened the park with the arrival of Mickey and gang on the Magic Kingdom Express (train). We at supper at Be Our Guest and enjoyed seeing Beast's castle. On Tuesday, we opened Epcot and closed with Illuminations. We at dinner in Paris at Chefs de France. On Wednesday, we opened the park at Animal Kingdom and at Portabello in Downtown Disney. On Thursday, we opened the park at Magic Kingdom and at with Pooh and the gang at the Crystal Palace for supper. We closed in the rain with the Electric Parade, Celebrate the Magic and Wishes fireworks show. On Friday, we opened the park at Hollywood Studios with breakfast at Hollywood and Vine with the Disney Jr. characters and then hit Animal Kingdom in the afternoon. We finished up our day in Magic Kingdom. Adam napped a few afternoons and we braved the rain one evening. In general everyone was in good spirits and we went hard!
Here's a list of rides we rode and the approximate number of times we rode them, along with some shows. We lost count on a few. We didn't wait more than 30 minutes on anything and our average wait was 15 minutes. We love going to Disney when it's not crowded.

The boys got to do some special things as well. They both got to do Jedi Training Academy. Lucas didn't really want to do it, but he had a great time once he stopped complaining. The boys looked so cute up on stage fighting Darth Vader. Push, the trash can robot, came up to the boys and had a full conversation with them, which they thought was awesome! Lucas was Chip when he was in Enchanted Tales with Belle. Lucas, Mom, and Dad all were the Rebel Spy on a flight of Star Tours. They got a special birthday surprises at Chef Mickey's and Be Our Guest.
Lucas got really into the Sorcerer's Mission, where Merlin, needed help saving Magic Kingdom from villains. Lucas had a map and a secret key that would unlock portals throughout the park and then he used spell cards to fight the bad guys. He constantly asked to do this until we were finished. He also did all 5 treasure hunts with Jack Sparrow in Adventureland. Lucas sang all the way through Pirates of the Caribbean. His favorite rides were Mt. Everest, Big Thunder Mountain, and Star Tours.
Adam was more into characters than Lucas, so Adam waited for Phineus and Ferb and Jessie and Woody. Adam loved his first taste of Roller Coasters. I held him the first ride and after that he told me that the fast parts were what made it fun! Adam sang all the way through It's a Small World. His favorite things were Big Thunder Mountain, Carousel of Progress, Jedi Training and Fantasmic!
Daddy's best memory was standing in the rain watching the electric parade, Celebrate the Magic (projection on the castle), and Wishes (fireworks show). Mommy's favorite parts were riding Big Thunder Mountain as a family (Grandma Patty's first roller coaster) and just being together.
The boys did great not asking for lots of toys. Adam got a Star Wars t-shirt and hat, purple lightsaber, Obi Wan's Star Speeder, and built his own droid. Lucas got a Zurg Attack game, Mickey Hat, Donald shirt, and built his own droid. The boys shared a big Duffy, Remi, and we built three Lego people at the Lego store. At Goofy's Candy Co, they each made their own snack. This was Adam's worst part, because he didn't like the way they made his snack and he threw a fit!
This Mommy's heart was happy watching her boys have a great time and the memories that we made. We are already planning our next trip, so it must have been a good time!
