Funny Times

Lucas and Adam are saying and doing something funny everyday right now that makes me laugh out loud.

Adam has learned to climb the stairs so he likes to race Lucas up them to bath time. It just makes me smile to see him trying to keep up with his brother. Adam is also chasing Lucas around and Lucas loves it. He says, "Adam's following me" or he will ask Adam to chase him. The two of them have been playing very well together and it just melts my heart to see them starting to really enjoy each other's company.

Adam has also learned to turn the TV off. He climbs up there and when we say "No, No", he gives us a big ol' smile and pushes the button. He thinks this is a game and is so proud when he turns it off. Lucas doesn't like it at all when Adam turns off the TV. In fact, the last time he tried during one of Lucas's shows, I was saying "No, No" before Adam got all the way to the button, and Lucas replied "I have an idea Mommy, I'll stop him with my hammer". He then proceeded to get his hammer out of his tool box and went for Adam's head. This made me laugh, because Lucas was very serious about the whole thing.

Lucas's imagination is really starting to come out. He is using his pliers to cut the computer wires. He assigns each of us a seat at his table for lunch and cooks us microwave pizza and water. He tells me he is Fire Chief Lucas when playing with his firestation, Train Master Lucas when riding his train, Chef Lucas while cooking, and the Steveasourusrex (Steve on Blue's Clues pretending to be a dinosaur) when he's being a dinosaur.

How blessed I feel to have these two happy, funny boys in my life.
